Point Pelee National Park is best known as a premier destination for bird watching in the spring and for monarch butterfly migration viewing in the fall. It is also a great destination for a bike ride, since it is only about 22 km from Kingsville to the front gates of the park. Once at the park, you can ride towards the tip on the freshly paved road, or cruise south on the limestone chip multi-use trails that run most of the length of the park. Bring a picnic or grab a bite to eat on the way into the park. At the Northwest Beach, dip your toes in the water, or take a plunge to cool off on a hot summer day. Climb the lookout tower for a bird’s eye view of the area.
